Sound Learning is my September-November 2013 Featured Charity!
Sound Learning, formerly Mason County Literacy, provides instruction to adults in basic skill improvement (reading, writing, math and problem solving), GED preparation, computers, and English for Speakers of Other Languages.
Services are provided through classes and small-group tutoring sessions in Mason and Thurston Counties. Dedicated to helping adults gain self-sufficiency, improve literacy and develop the essential skills needed to succeed in today’s world, they are a non-profit 501(c)(3).
Volunteers are an important part of their service delivery, along with a small professional staff.

For Sound Learning I’ve created The Bookworm Collection– jewelry designs inspired by education and literacy. These fun designs celebrate math, reading, writing, problem solving, spelling, and more with inspirational education quotes as well as artwork with books, math problems, and even winning words from spelling bees!
